Ole Miss BSB Breaking News

#18 Ole Miss vs #15 UCF Game Postponed
Ole Miss RHP Sam Smith

Due to inclement weather in the Florida area, the Ole Miss vs UCF baseball game has been postponed until tomorrow, March 1. The game was originally set for 3:00 PM, but the weather caused the game to be pushed back three times and then finally postponed. The first pitch for tomorrow's double header is set for early in the morning, 8:00 AM CT. Game 2 will be 7 innings while Game 3 will be 9 innings. There will be a 35 minute period between games. After having Christian Trent pitch in the game 1 loss, Brady Bramlett will have the pitching duties for game 2. Bramlett leads the SEC in strikeouts with 19. The senior veteran Sam Smith will have the pitching duties for game 3. Sam Smith will be making his 39th start for the Rebels. 39 is not a typo. Also, although I brought this up in my first blog, here is the link to Sophomore Errol Robinson's Sportscenter top 10 play(#2): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpzgqlU0ric&feature=youtu.be&noredirect=1

Recap -- Ole Miss vs LSU NCAAB

LSU's Second Half Surge Leads to Win, 73-63

Ole Miss played one of its worst games this season Saturday. Ole Miss lead 27-23 at the break, and it seemed as if the Rebels could pull off the big win. In the second half, LSU shot 55% from the field after shooting 30%. Also, the Tigers had a huge 50 point second half along with a great FG %.
Ole Miss shot 39% from the field for the entire game, and they shot very badly from the free throw line. The Rebels shot 62% from the line, and that is not good for the second best free throw shooting team in the country. Notable Games: Tim Quarterman had a triple-double for the Tigers with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. Stefan Moody was Ole Miss' leading scorer with 15 points on an off day. Ole Miss falls to 19-10, 10-6, and LSU surges to 21-8, 10-6. Joe Lunardi's bracketology will update on Monday morning. Ole Miss' next game is at 17-11 Alabama. Ole Miss vs. LSU (2/28/15)

The Ole Miss Rebels(19-9, 10-5) will face the LSU Tigers(20-8, 9-6) at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Saturday February 28, 2015. The Rebels are coming off of a 76-72 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs after winning 8 of 9, and the Tigers are fresh off of a 23 point beat down at Auburn. This is a very big game for both teams, for both teams are not a lock for the NCAA Tournament. Ole Miss is currently an 8 seed in ESPN's Joe Lunardi's bracketology, and the Tigers are a 10 seed. Earlier in the year, the Tigers came into Oxford and beat a team who hadn't found their identity, 75-71. The Rebels hope to not only get revenge, but they hope to boost their NCAA Tournament resume with a good road win at LSU.
